Austin Auto Repair Shop
Frank (of Frank and Sandy’s Family Auto Repair) used to help his dad work on their family’s cars when he was a kid. His dad wasn’t the world’s best mechanic, but he wasn’t the worst.
He spent a lot of time working on those old cars and as a result Frank spent a lot of time being his personal shop assistant. You can tell Frank liked doing everything in dad’s shop (except the cleanup and holding the light for hours on end as dad struggled to install a new starter or alternator).
Later in life Frank’s dad threw up his hands and gave up fixing the family’s newer cars. The cars had become computerized and that meant you needed more advanced training and new scan tools to figure out why the car was being difficult. So off to the car repair shop Dad went when things weren’t working for years to come. That freed up both of their time, but you can tell Frank (and I’m sure his dad) missed working on the cars.
Fast forward to today: If Frank’s dad was still with us, he’d probably be proud of Frank (and his wife Sandy) for opening their Austin Auto Repair Shop and helping customers with their cars and trucks. You can almost envision Frank grinning ear to ear as he showed Dad the cool new tools, advanced diagnostic capabilities of their team, and the cool 5,000 square foot shop they opened over 5 years ago. Dad would probably come by just to check out the new tools (and probably pick Frank’s brain for new ideas on what’s wrong with his car).
Frank says that he does think of dad just about every day when he drives up to the shop. He thinks about how dad would want each and every car repaired. Dad would want it done right. He’d want to make sure the customers were well cared for. He’d want everyone to feel like they were part of the family.
Today, Frank and Sandy’s Family Auto Repair is located at 12406 Technology Blvd in Austin Texas (78727) about ½ mile down from the 183N feeder road (take the Oak Knoll exit). They have plenty of parking and a sparkling new lobby with Emeril’s coffee (and free WiFi). Frank and Sandy are still there (and so is Dad in spirit). The entire team looks forward to meeting you and taking care of you and your family’s vehicles.
